6 Questions With Craig...
This is our chance to get to know someone better who is working in the craft beer industry in Western Canada.

1. Who are you?Â
My name is Craig McFarlane (he/him) I am proud gay man who can be found serving at a brewery, hosting trivia at a brewery, or just simply drinking at a brewery!
2. What do you do?Â
I am a taproom supervisor (or as I like to refer to myself as the "Shift King") at Born Colorado Brewing (@borncoloradobrewing) in Calgary! I have been at BCB since February and have loved getting to know all the amazing staff and regulars who come in. I am also known as "Trivia Daddy", where I host weekly trivia nights at High Line Brewing (@highlinebrewing). I've been in the beer industry for 4 years now and love getting to talk and entertain customers.
3. What is your biggest pet peeve about the industry?Â
When breweries put out a Pride beer but don't do anything else, like hiring Queer people.
4. What do you love most about working in the industry?
I love the relationships I form with co-workers and regulars. With just focusing on beer you can make it a place to really form strong bonds with people. I've made some of my best friends by entertaining people at the breweries. Not to mention the amount of variety of beers that come out all the time.
5. What is your favourite beer right now?
Oh sooo tough to narrow it down. But I think I have to go with the Blackberry'ON NEIPA at BCB.
6. What local charity should we be paying attention to?
I am a huge supporter of Hospice Calgary's Children's Grief Centre. Hospice Calgary means a lot to me and my family, and the idea of a place to help children deal with grief is super important! Highly recommend supporting them.
