6 Questions With Kevin...
Each week we get to know someone better who is working in the B.C. craft beer industry.
1. Who are you?
I’m Kevin, probably better known as The Beerd Show. I’m known for having the best beard in the province, my edgy fashion sense, and for my knowledge of craft beer!
2. What do you do?
Some people think I’m an influencer, I like to think of myself as the curator of the BC Craft Beer scene. I support local craft breweries, and in turn I’m sent beers from all different BC breweries and post product shots on my social media pages. I also get invited to a lot of breweries and bars to drink their latest beers and post about it on my pages.
I know, it’s a tough job!
3. What is your biggest pet peeve about the industry?
I don’t really have many pet peeves about this industry as it’s been so great to me. The only one I can think of is when a new brewery starts releasing new beers so frequently that people don’t even know what their core beers are all about.
4. What do you love most about working in the industry?
I wouldn’t say I really work in the industry, but being involved in it, and having my brand overlap the beer industry at times, it’s gotta be the people. I can’t say enough good things about the people in this industry. I’ve made so many good friends simply by drinking and promoting beer, it’s awesome!
5. What is your favourite beer right now?
It has to be the Pilsner from Strathcona Brewing. It’s clean and crisp, and I’ve been having a lot of those this summer. It’s really what a Pilsner should be in my opinion.
6. What local charity should we be paying attention to?
I’m a huge animal fan so I’d say the BC SPCA. Animals make our lives better and give us unconditional love, they deserve the same right back.
